Designed in 1941, the Chemex filter produces a sediment-free, clean-tasting cup, which allows the particular characteristics of a single origin coffee to shine. It is constructed with high-grade glass, and is dishwasher-safe. The cup size in the model title refers to a small tea cup size, so this brewer makes 1–2 regular-sized coffees. The decanter is designed to be used with Chemex bonded filter papers, which are easily removed after brewing so the decanter can be used to serve the coffee. We serve single-origin coffee via the Chemex method at Brewtown and our Constable Street Espresso Bar, and you can experience it yourself at home with a little practice. See our Brewing Guide.

Like the Chemex brewer, the used grinds are neatly removed via the paper filter. Designed to be used with Hario V60 1-cup filter papers. Includes a dosing scoop. Designed for the Hario V60 1-cup filter. As a side note: we’d have liked to be able to sell the unbleached papers too, but they impart such a strong cardboard-like flavour that they practically ruin a lovely coffee.
